For the most recognizable plaid effect, choose a light, medium, and dark shade with enough contrast to distinguish the individual blocks.

Pattern Construction

The mitts are crocheted flat from the wrist toward the fingers using the plaid stitch pattern. Both pieces are made the same way, then oriented, folded, and seamed differently to form the right and left mitts.
